Having been born into a family of artists and architects, I grew up in Florence surrounded by the Arts and Culture. Painting and Drawing was very much part of my upbringing. In the past years, I have been focusing my energy in the research of colors, to try to find my own unique and personal style. Chagall, Kandinsky, Franz Mark, inspire me in their use of color, and Egon Schiele in how he portrays women. Having worked as a model for years, I also find inspiration in photographs, in terms of poses, framing and composition. I also make collages using fashion magazines.My paintings are driven mostly by my feelings and my imagination. When I am painting or drawing, the colors I choose are often a result of my emotional impulses. There is nothing technical. Rationality is some times a limitation for me when I paint.My motto is “COLOR IS FREEDOM”:I think our mind is blinded and imprisoned by stereotypes and society rules, and can be freed through colors in art.
