Mediterranean Landscapes | Open call

An international residency programme open to under-34 visual artists coming from Italy, Belgium, Slovenia, Tunisia and Lebanon

The selected artists will reflect on identity, geography and the nature of public space in the age of migration, specifically in the in the Euro-Mediterranean area. They will have the opportunity to be involved in residencies in the territories of Tigullio and Tuscia (Italy) and in Ljubljana (Slovenia).

Mediterranean Landscapes is a transnational route that links three territories and six artists from different countries, highlighting the features of the Mediterranean landscape, in an attempt to create a common geography of reference points, a shared identity related to migrations and transformations.
The final outcomes of the residency will be shown during Mediterranea 18 Young Artists Biennale, that will take place in May 2017 in Tirana and Durrës (Albania).

The deadline for submission of application is September 11st 2016, and the residences will be held in in Tuscia and Tigullio (Italy) from October 21 to 30 and in Ljubljana (Slovenia) from October 31 to November 7.
The project covers all the accomodation costs and the flights costs up to 700€ for each selected participant
