GEMINE MUSE

Percorsi di giovani artisti nelle città italiane tra storia e arte

Gemine Muse 2010Gemine Muse is the showcase for new works by artists who operate keeping a direct connection with masterpieces and urban architecture. A double dialogue that runs on a double track: on one side the artist who creates a work of art inspired by a curatorial theme or a masterpiece from the past; on the other side the sharing of experiences among all involved artists, in what can be defined a journey through history and culture with the eyes of the young actors of the event.

Different points of view in the same exhibition routes, brought together by the meeting of diverse artists from the various involved venues, a new network of spaces opening to the search of contemporary expression

As for the previous staging of the event, new projects will encourage the young talents to get out of the museums and get in touch with the actual city. They will follow a route made of different tracks and themes involving events for all artistic disciplines (from visual arts to music to design to theatre to dance).

Every year Gemine Muse takes over 200,000 visitors on a journey of discovery of works of art, art installations, sound productions, performances and videos: an itinerary that aims at putting together tradition and innovation. To fulfil this aim, it builds a close connection between the world of museums, the young people, the rising artists and the critics.
