Biography

Christina Thwaites is an emerging contemporary painter living and working near Rome in Italy. Born in England (Sheffield) in 1980, she graduated in 2004 with an M. A. in French Literature and History of Art from The University of Edinburgh. Her painting skills further developed in Italy where she was tutored by artist Albert Parres at La Porta Blu Studio, Rome. She has shown her work in a number of group and solo exhibitions, mainly in Italy (Rome, Naples, Perugia, Ravenna, Salerno, Rieti) and following a painting residency in Holland last year she had two exhibitions in Amsterdam. Her most recent paintings were shown in Palestine following an international workshop at Al-Mahatta Gallery.
