Alex Bonacci

Alex Bonacci si avvicina alla batteria all'età di sette anni. Frequenta un corso del Berklee College studiando batteria con Ron Savage, teoria e solfeggio con Ken Cervenka, armonia e composizione con Matthew Nicholl. Tra i maestri che hanno segnato il suo percorso formativo Jeff Berlin, Omar Hakim, Peter Erskine, Dave Weckl, JoJo Mayer, Maurizio Dei Lazzaretti (Mina, Renato Zero, Lucio Dalla, Alex Britti, Bennato, ecc.), Pat Martino, Dennis Chambers, Miroslav Vitous, Furio Chirico, Larry Monroe, Kiko Loureiro, Daryl Lowery e molti altri. Subentra nel gruppo musicale "Vincent" nel 2005. Nello stesso anno partecipa e vince con la band Sanremo Rock, dove ha modo di suonare sullo stesso palco dove si esibiscono a seguire musicisti del calibro di Ian Paice (Deep Purple), Solieri (Vasco), Portera (Dalla), e molti altri. Successivamente accompagna differenti artisti in molti contest come Heineken Jammin Festival, International Pop Overthrow, Premio Musicultura (Ex premio Recanati), Cornetto Free Music, Coca Cola Contest, Rock Targato Italia, etc. Seguono partecipazioni e passaggi radio/televisivi (Rock TV, Rai Due, Radio Due, Sky, Telespazio Calabria, RTL 102,5, Radio Suby, Subasio, Rts, ecc.). Tra i musicisti con i quali ha avuto il piacere di suonare, live e/o in studio, e professionisti del settore con cui ha collaborato, si ricordano: Tony Levin, Roberto Diana, All the Mornings of the World, JP Cervoni, i Vincent, Alessia D'andrea (Jethro Tull, Ian Anderson, David Arch, Steafan Hannigan, ecc.), Stephan Zeh, Vince Tempera, James Raymond, Brian Ray, Stefano Olla, Elisabetta Coraini, Lowlands (band con la quale ha svolto il tour europeo “Gypsy child Tour 2011”), Florian Opahle, Ive (rinomata artista bulgara, finalista all’Eurovision 2009), Franco Catricalà, Ivan Battistella, “Rigo” Righetti, Dj Molella, Emanuele Frusi, Luca Milieri, Mario Rossman, Timerec, Simone Borghi e molti altri.
Attualmente sono direttore del centro di formazione PERFORM School of music ® (centro d'esami "RSL Awards" e "Trinity College London"), oltre as essere endorser del marchio UFIP - Earcreated Cymbals e insegnante abilitato del circuito nazionale "La casa del batterista".

Alex Bonacci began playing drums at the age of seven. He attended a Berklee College course where he had the pleasure to study with Ron Savage, Ken Cervenka and Matthew Nicholl and meet many great artists of all over the world. He attended several master-classes and studied with different great musicians, such as: Jeff Berlin, Omar Hakim, Peter Erskine, Dave Weckl, JoJo Mayer, Pat Martino, Maurizio Dei Lazzaretti, Dennis Chambers, Furio Chirico, Miroslav Vitous, Kiko Loureiro, Daryl Lowery, Larry Monroe, etc. In 2005 he became the official drummer of the band called 'Vincent' and won the Sanremo Rock Festival with them during the same year. Attending this event he had the chance to play on the same stage on which many famous musicians were playing (i.e. Ian Paice- Deep Purple's drummer). He took part in many radio and television programs (Rock TV, RaiDue, RadioDue, Sky, etc.) and in many important music contests with different artists (Heineken Jammin festival, International Pop Overthrow, Premio Musicultura, Coca Cola contest, Sanremo Rock, Rock Targato Italia, etc.). He is also involved in the project "Renilin: OFFSIDE", produced by Renilin, with other ten artists of all over the world.

In 2011 he began to teach drums for the italian national school "La casa del batterista" in Turin, at the Bioritmo Studio. He is now director of the branches of Turin of "La casa del batterista" and "La casa del chitarrista" and he is endorser of the italian brand UFIP - Earcreated cymbals. Now he is also the headmaster of the music school PERFORM School of music ® (RSL Awards centre examination and Trinity College London exam centre). "PERFORM School of music" is also a partner of the MLC Academy of Nottingham and of the i.c.m.p. - The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance of London.
