Teno

In 2023, in collaboration with artist-researcher Maarit Mäkelä, he created a ceramic vessel made from Finnish earthenware and wild kaolin from Puolanka. The pot’s surface illustrates river Teno from northern Finland and the organisms (algae, fungi, and animals) that symbiotically inhabit its waters. Many of these species, documented by the Finnish Biodiversity Information Facility (laji.fi), are now considered endangered.
