Chiara Leoni

I was born in Melegnano (Milan), Italy.

Once gratuated in architecture and having worked in a studio in Milan I changed my path and decided to support my desire of telling stories through images on movement.

Affected by the love for video and photography since I was very young, I moved to Florence were I studied at Scuola Nazionale di Cinema Indipendente refining my editing and shooting abilities.

After that I attended a course of social investigation and video journalism in Pisa promoted by Arsenale del Cinema of Pisa and Alfea Cinematografica.

During the studies I took part in one documentary and one videoreportage working in the production, editig and shooting.

Since 2012 I have been working as a freelance videomaker, creating different kind of videos (commercial, promotional, social).

In 2014 I left by myself for a journey of 9 months all around Southeast Asia (especially India ) where I fired up my passion for documentary and reportage.
