Giada Crispiels

Italo-Belgian artist born Sept. 20Th 1984, lives between Brooklyn (NY) and Sirmione (BS), Italy. She received her MFA in Set Design , at LABA Academy of Art, in Italy. She moved to the US in Oct. 2010. That has changed drastically her art practice. She has been involved in several programs at NYFA (Brooklyn, NY), where she also had been awarded of Van Lier Fellowship in Environmental structure/design. Her body of works is composed mostly by drawings, installations and photographs. Lately she has been working on a series of installations, engaging a dialog from inside-out spaces. Her particular focus is about the cycle of Nature, and how it has changed with human in the contemporary world. In the last year she traveled between artist residency programs. Respectively at Artspace NH, CT; Wassaic Project in Wassaic, NY; at Annmarie Sculpture and Arts Center and Prairie Art Center in Peoria, IL.
She has recently founded Corte Moronati Artist-in-Residence in Sirmione, Italy.
