Installation for Jean Genet's Centenary

This photographic installation is inspired by Jean Genet's Balcony, in the role of Irma, the madame of the brothel. The installation is made by voyeuristic lenses to look inside a black wooden box, like a peepshow. This is the first stage of a collaborative project between artists in London, Madrid and Morocco culminating in a final celebration of Genet’s life and work, in Casablanca. Every lens a different door and a different artist. Capturing London artists in their performances upon the Balcony, as if everyone are on the same theatre stage.
