Not lung of the planet è un'opera di video arte che delinea una profonda riflessione sul tema della deforestazione. L'ispirazione per questa creazione giunge dal devastante incendio che ha colpito l'Amazzonia tra il 2019 e il 2020, trasformandola nel simbolo della lotta contro la deforestazione, dato che le foreste rappresentano un elemento fondamentale per l'equilibrio dell'ecosistema terrestre.

L'opera si sviluppa attraverso la visualizzazione di un incendio doloso, atto distruttivo che colpisce una struttura delicata, un ecosistema labile e provvisorio composta da fiori e ramoscelli, ma anche abitato da animali costretti a fuggire. Questa rappresentazione simbolica mira a trasmettere al pubblico la gravità della deforestazione e a sottolineare il rischio di superare un punto di non ritorno nell'equilibrio ecologico del nostro pianeta.

Durante il mio processo creativo mi sono lasciata ispirare dalle delicate strutture di Christiane Lohr Sissi, utilizzando la sua sensibilità artistica per comporre un set visivamente potente e emotivamente coinvolgente. Not lung of the planet si propone quindi come un'opera che va oltre la semplice esplorazione visiva, offrendo una riflessione sulla fragilità della natura e l'urgenza di preservare le preziose risorse naturali della Terra.

Not lung of the planet is a video art piece that outlines a profound reflection on deforestation. The inspiration for this creation comes from the devastating fire that struck the Amazon between 2019 and 2020, turning it into a symbol in the fight against deforestation, given that forests are a fundamental element for the balance of the Earth's ecosystem.

The artwork unfolds through the visualization of arson, a destructive act that impacts delicate structures, fragile and temporary ecosystems composed of flowers and branches, also inhabited by animals forced to flee. This symbolic representation aims to convey to the audience the gravity of deforestation and emphasize the risk of surpassing a point of no return in the ecological balance of our planet.

In my creative process, I took inspiration from the delicate structures of Christiane Lohr Sissi, using her artistic sensitivity to compose a visually powerful and emotionally engaging set.

Not lung of the planet thus aims to be more than a mere visual exploration, offering a reflection on the fragility of nature and the urgency of preserving the Earth's precious natural resources.
