Not Permafrost è un video d'arte contemporanea dal carattere sospeso che riflette sul repentino scioglimento del Permafrost, uno strato di terreno perennemente ghiacciato, portando gli spettatori a considerarne le implicazioni ambientali.

Attraverso un monolite di ghiaccio, l'opera si sviluppa in una rivelazione graduale di materiali organici intrappolati al suo interno, incanalando l'attenzione dello spettatore sul crescente scioglimento del Permafrost e sulle sue conseguenze ambientali.

Il Permafrost, essendo un terreno congelato in modo permanente, funge da deposito naturale di grandi quantità di carbonio, ma sciogliendosi le rilascerebbe nell’atmosfera contribuendo all’effetto serra e quindi accelerando il riscaldamento climatico in un Loop infinito.

Attraverso una dimensione sospesa, enfatizzata dal coinvolgente Sound Design, Not Permafrost offre uno spazio di contemplazione in cui gli spettatori possono immergersi nelle sfide ambientali e riflettere sulla responsabilità collettiva nella tutela del nostro pianeta.

La rivelazione dei materiali organici intrappolati all'interno del ghiaccio diventa un simbolo visivo che suggerisce la necessità di un approccio consapevole e attivo per affrontare le conseguenze del cambiamento climatico.

Not Permafrost is a contemporary art video with a suspended character that reflects on the sudden thawing of Permafrost, a layer of soil perpetually frozen, leading viewers to consider its environmental implications.

Through an ice monolith, the artwork unfolds in a gradual revelation of organic materials trapped within it, directing the viewer's attention to the increasing thawing of Permafrost and its environmental consequences.

Permafrost, being permanently frozen ground, acts as a natural repository of large quantities of carbon. However, its melting would release carbon into the atmosphere, contributing to the greenhouse effect and thus accelerating climate change in an endless loop.

Through a suspended dimension, emphasized by engaging sound design, Not Permafrost provides a space for contemplation where viewers can immerse themselves in environmental challenges and reflect on collective responsibility for the protection of our planet.

The revelation of organic materials trapped within the ice becomes a visual symbol suggesting the need for a conscious and proactive approach to address the consequences of climate change.
