In the installation “Biospheres”, little things are set to show the magnitude and the fragility of the natural environment. It is an accumulation of recycled light bulbs hanging from the roof, in which germinate fragments of nature taking place in microecosystems of conclusive cycle. Generating a small cosmos of sensitive worlds. Inside the recycled bulbs, mosses, lichens and plants of small dimensions has been grown with patience from seeds, spores and shoots collected in site. The resulting balance between the creative effort, care and natural creative energy, provided that these vegetables elements will perpetuate as semi-closed-cycle ecosystems fully operational. Or what is the same, elements in a balanced environment for his life. In this built space, it transpire producing humidity and photosynthesize, producing oxygen. The soil life breaks down dead matter that accumulates, converting it into nourishment for plants of these microsystems. We can observe that in the hollow of what was a light bulb, vital dynamics are transduce exhaustively. These are in effect small portions of the cycle of life that reproduces their original pattern of interdependence. but they are interpreted from its condition of relative isolation to external environmental factors.Beyond the contemplative in romantic terms, this artwork introduces us slowly in a Nature of possible worlds. Sensory input of these fragile and fragmented landscapes, in their microscopic formality, lead us to discover the same fragile ecosystem balances in our biosphere and living beings as us.
