Giulia Giannola

Giulia Giannola is an Italian artist born in 1985, in Naples. After finishing her Bachelor degree in Venice at the IUAV University, she moves to Berlin where she graduated as Meisterschülerin in Installation and Multimedia at the University of the Arts. Her research focuses in particular on human time and production and on collective rhythms. In her videos and performances, time factors such as duration and rhythm, are called into question, twisted and transformed, suggesting alternate realities.She received the Elsa-Neumann-Scholarship of the State of Berlin in 2014 and  the University of the Arts Meisterschüler price. Her works have been shown among others at Triennale di Milano, Georg Kolbe Museum Berlin, Regional Museum of Samara Russia, Haus der Kulturen der Welt Berlin,  Young artists Biennial from the Mediterranean 2015 Milan, Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa Venice, Collegium Hungaricum Berlin, Athens Digital Arts Festival Athens, Digital Marrakech Festival, Saarländisches Künstlerhaus Saarbrücken.

Giulia Giannola lives and works between Naples and Berlin.
