<Deuteragonists which choose the laterality as strategy>, they always been involved in a conceptual and theoretical deep research, <between fiction and refunctionalization of the form>, AFTERALL, duo composed by the brothers Silvia Viola and Enzo Esposito, investigates the disorders of language and communication starting from the daily, <pointing the finger of the memory on the border of the present>. The poetic operation made by the AFTERALL essentially is that of showing those historical and cultural memory gaps that often give us fuzzy flashbacks. They are involved in a aesthetic and sociological survey: the pursue of the mistake and of the stammer, perchance or for a need, both for the urban spaces or for objects and actions of the everyday. The wrong beauty of a landscape, of the element or the usual action. On these traces the AFTERALL look for indications for stories, actions, documentations, underlining what normally could be considered as an exception. In their work, the mistake, what is or is relegated to the margins, tends to acquire again its sense of mistaking, just like in a journey where experiences bring to a further knowledge. The duo has exhibited in several institutions, including: MADRE Museum, PAN Museum, Filiberto Menna Foundation. Their works have been installed in the Castle of Rivalta di Torino, on the facade of the Mergellina Tube Station in Naples. They participated in the Festival d'Art Numérique in Pays d’Aix et Marseille, in the XII Biennal des Jeunes Créateurs d'Europe et de la Méditerranée. They are also winners of the Celeste Premio 2012 (Prize of the Critic) and finalist of the Francesco Fabbri Prize 2012.
